As we move into warmer temperatures this spring please keep in mind the length of skirts and shorts should be fingertip length.
⭐ Bottoms can be khaki, navy, black or grey.
⭐ Joggers should NOT BE SWEATPANT MATERIAL!
⭐ Headphones and earbuds should not be worn or visible on school grounds at any time.
⭐ Outerwear should be solid navy, black, or grey. Or outerwear purchased through an approved BHS spirit store.
⏰ Attention 8th grade parents & students: It is time to plan your student's schedule for high school! Please select a date and time slot for one of the scheduling nights listed in the link below. Parents need to attend the meeting along with their student. If you need to schedule for multiple students, please fill out a time slot for each student.
** STUDENTS INTERESTED IN PEP SQUAD, you will stay after your scheduling for a meeting with the sponsor in the library.

TRIFECTA!!!! Over the past two days the Benton High School bands performed at the LMEA District VIII Ensemble Assessment and all 3 bands received the Sweepstakes Award for their performances! Congratulations to all the students and our amazing band directors!!!!

Attention High School Students and Parents!
ACT Testing Day is March 25, 2025.
* All sophomores, juniors, and select seniors will take the ACT at their assigned schools during the school day.
* Non-testers (students not scheduled to take the ACT) will participate in a virtual learning day from home on March 25th. This includes all 9th graders and any other students who aren’t assigned to take the ACT test that day.

✏️ ASVAB Test Sign Up ✏️
The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) will be offered at Benton High School on Monday, March 31, 2025. If you are interested in joining the military, you definitely need to sign-up.
However, the ASVAB is not just a military test. Taking the ASVAB will give you access to an entire Career Exploration Program that will help you identify and explore career fields that are best suited for you. Complete this Google Form or stop by Mrs. Varnado's office (B-101) during non-class times to sign-up. Seats are limited to the first 60 students that sign up.

📍Make sure to get school excuses are turned in in a timely manner. Excuses can be emailed, faxed, or a paper copy turned in to the attendance office.
📍If you know your student is going to be out for the day, please call the attendance office at (318) 759-2588 and let Mrs. Caksey know. Over the phone check outs should also be done through this number.
