🇺🇸Service Academy Day🇺🇸 The offices of Senators Bill Cassidy and John Kennedy, Speaker Mike Johnson, and Representatives Julia Letlow and Cleo Fields will be hosting Service Academy Day at Louisiana Tech University on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The event will be in their Integrated Engineering and Science Building, with registration opening at 8:30 AM and the event beginning at 9 AM. All high school students and their parents, as well as school officials, are welcome to attend for free. Representatives from America’s Service Academies, including West Point and the Naval and Air Force Academies, will make presentations on what their Academies have to offer. If a student gains admittance to one of those Academies, they will graduate with a bachelor’s degree and become a commissioned officer in our Armed Forces. Additionally, the three Academies mentioned above are tuition-free. We also plan to have presentations from ROTC units attached to local Universities, and a presentation on the Congressional nominations process. Students must receive a nomination to be considered for admittance to most Service Academies, and most nominations come from Members of Congress. Later, students, parents and other attendees will be able to visit the booths of the Service Academies, ROTC units and Members of Congress, and ask questions.

Senior ads are officially available for purchase through Jostens.com. The deadline to purchase is February 1, 2026.
(Tip: Schedule senior photos early—spring photos will not meet our deadline!)

Jostens manages all yearbook ad sales for our school. Please keep the following in mind:

1. All submissions (photos, text, and payment) must be completed online through Jostens.
2. Please do not send materials or money to the school—we cannot accept them.
3. While you will design your ad online, the yearbook staff may make edits to submitted layouts to ensure consistency with our yearbook style guidelines.
4. For questions or special requests, please contact the yearbook adviser, Jade Brown, at bentonh.yearbook@bossierschools.org.
